Children For Bailouts
McCain, by the way, voted against the reauthorization of SCHIP to cover uninsured children, one of the votes that earned him that not-so-much sought after honorary title of "America's Worst Senator For Children."
He then went on to say that he supported President Bush's veto of the expansion of SCHIP because--he said--the program's expansion would create an "unfunded liability." Guess what unfunded liability Sen. McCain just voted in favor of? The $700 billion Wall Street bailout. I guess that when you are a maverick saving irresponsible grown ups and the companies they ran into a ditch is more important than health care for children.
