Finally, if you happen to be at or near a bookstore during the weekend, you can do worse than picking up a copy of Idiot America, Charles Pierce's insightful look at "how stupidity became a virtue in the land of the free." The variety of topics Pierce takes on competently is both inspiring and entertaining. It is that rare book that makes you think and laugh at the same time, and in the midst of the idiotic din that surrounds the health care debate, it is a timely read as well.
